Nick

In over twenty years of teaching meditation I have had the privilege of watching students awaken before my eyes. I have see spirit guiding individuals not only to find greater happiness and peace, but to find themselves, find their life purpose and to be able to fulfill that purpose. Each individual has a destiny to fulfill; helping people find and fulfill that destiny is our purpose. Nick is a shining example.

I can remember Nick coming up to me after class one day all excited. He had had a vision in meditation: An image of a woman, a "Goddess", had appeared to him. She was within a block of wood. Nick worked as a plumber and tennis coach, and had never carved before. He came to me filled with excitement and asked what the vision meant and what he should do. I simply said: "Maybe you should find this Goddess and set her free." He said he didn't know how to sculpt. I simply suggested to "let your spirit guide you."

A month or so later a beauty sculpture of a Goddess was brought to class to everyone's awe and amazement. She seemed to be alive. You could feel the passion in the art. A couple years later Nick was invited to exhibit at the Los Angeles Metropolitan Museum, and then President Bill Clinton purchased one of his pieces. Recently Nick was invited into the Binelli, a very exclusive art guild, and will be amongst some of the world's greatest artists showing in Florence, Italy.

Nick is being guided, as you all are. Each time he felt blocked or under dyer circumstances he would meditate and clarity, insight, motivation and guidance would come. The discipline of meditation in the face of frustration, resistance and hardship helped him through. To be able to go within and tap the wellspring of spirit that is your own abiding nature made all the difference.
